“I started meeting with the nutritionist, Jon Brown, back in the spring of 2023 I believe. I was all over the place with losing weight and becoming healthier, really not knowing where and how to begin. When I look back at this journey so far, within one year, I started at 188lbs (XL) and ended up at 159lbs (Medium) before getting pregnant again. And my pregnancy so far has been great! Still fitting medium sized pregnancy clothing at 7.5 months pregnant. I know how to combat sweet cravings more! Which was a huge issue for me. He has taught me so much so far and I highly recommend his help if you are seeking a healthier way of living” – Kim

More than 80% of our clients have their nutrition sessions covered at 100% by their health insurance. Many people have excellent coverage and have just never asked or been told about it. You don’t need to have diabetes or heart disease either. Many plans do not require a chronic condition to utilize these benefits, as nutrition often falls under preventive healthcare coverage. We know insurance can be confusing, which is why we can also call and check your health insurance benefits on your behalf to let you know how many sessions might be covered, and what, if anything, it might cost you. The best way to learn more is to set up your free 30-minute consultation.
More good news, you do not have to be a member of 5 Bridges Health & Fitness to take advantage of our nutrition services. Additionally, non-members will be given a free 1-day trial of the gym during the day of their appointment.

“My favorite part about food is the ability it has to bring people together. Food can be therapeutic physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. How a person eats can prevent disease before it starts, manage or reverse disease, or be the difference between a gold medal and missing the podium entirely. I take pride in my ability to help you reach your goals through education and personalized nutrition.”

Nutrition counseling is tailored to your lifestyle and your goals. Whether you want to achieve steady weight loss or mitigate the symptoms of a condition like diabetes or high blood pressure, a nutritionist can help you make a lasting change. Through nutrition, you can potentially:
You can find plenty of advice regarding nutrition online, but working one-on-one with a professional nutritionist is the best way to get actionable tips based on your specific objectives, your cooking preferences and your day-to-day life.
Whatever your goals, nutrition counseling offers a path to making them a reality.
Our nutrition counseling is customized to your needs, so we’ll start by getting to know them. Your nutritionist will ask about your goals as well as your lifestyle. Factors like stress, physical activity and the amount of sleep you typically get can all impact your nutrition. Habits like skipping meals and snacking late at night affect your nutrition as well. Nutritionists are here to help you, not to judge. We’ll ask questions about your eating habits and patterns to get a fuller picture of your needs and food choices.
Depending on your needs, a nutritionist might:
Your nutritionist will also be available to answer any questions you have about food or nutrition.
